Abstract: The handbook of psycholinguistics

GERNSBACHER, M. A. (Ed.) (1994). The handbook of psycholinguistics. San Diego, CA: Academic Press.

The goal in editing the “Handbook of Psycholinguistics” was to compile state-of-the-art descriptions of the research and theory of many of the subareas of psycholinguistics. The chapters, written by leading experts, would each contribute to a broad and deep coverage of the field. The resulting Handbook should be a resource for researchers, graduate students, university and college teachers, and other professionals in the fields of psycholinguistics, language comprehension, reading, neuropsychology of language, linguistics, language development, and computational modeling (of language). The Handbook should also serve as an excellent overview of psycholinguistics for readers in the broader disciplines of cognitive psychology, education, and computer science.
